Artistry Masters of Woodcraft

Design

Everything begins with design. Our in-house designer, Juan Beraldi, (see Bio) helps enhance our clients’ vision by providing personal consultation, well-educated advice and suggestions, hand-drawn renderings, and improving existing concepts and designs. Our experts in space planning help achieve clients’ objectives by multiple techniques and creative solutions. 3-D renderings allow the design to come to life and give the client a better understanding of the desired concepts. Once your design is concrete, shop drawings will commence.

Materials

Artistry provides only the highest quality materials; from domestic plywood used in our cabinet box construction, to the highest caliber domestic and exotic veneers. From conception to completion, it is our goal to keep supplying the finest hardware and if it cannot be found, we will have it fabricated. Nothing is impossible at Artistry. Our finish materials are second to none, using many European coatings, handmade stains, non-grain raising stains, and even unconventional materials of the highest quality. All of the live edge material is handpicked from Nicaragua and each piece is shipped back to the shop where it waits for the right project.

Cutting & Milling

What makes Artistry stand apart from other manufacturers is that we are an old school style studio using new technology equipment. Our experienced craftsmen are able to blend some of the world’s finest automated tooling with their seasoned old world techniques to create the amalgamation that is Artistry.

Door Making

One of Artistry’s truest commitments to its quality is providing truly custom doors and drawers made on site by its professional door team. From Artistry’s inception, our commitment was to provide handmade doors and drawers. Every profile and dimension can be hand selected to the clients’ preferences.

Fabricating

Artistry’s fabricators are seasoned, experienced cabinet & furniture makers combining years of mastery with Artistry’s standards. We also provide a highly sophisticated CNC machine; useful for intricate, small designs that would take the most accomplished craftsman several days – even weeks – to finish. We offer custom carvings to make your work of art come to life. Artistry’s fabricators lay out each and every job at the shop as if it was in the home to gain perspectives and ensure a custom fit.

Finishing

Artistry’s main pride and objective is its dedication to creating the perfect finish. The founder, John Tedesco, is a former furniture touch up man and master finisher (See Bio). Artistry keeps up to date on using only the finest of finishing materials and coatings. Every finish imaginable and more is available in our shop; whether it be straight paint, a glazing technique, custom stains and dyes, French polish, faux, gilding, resin, polyester, high gloss, matte, and many more, including unconventional products. All finishers go through an in-department training program to understand the founder’s vision for all coatings & finishes. The finish is the last process before a cabinet or furniture piece leaves the shop and it is taken most seriously.

Install

Installation is perhaps the shortest leg of the Artistry process but also requires the most thought. Installers layout all of the pieces in the space to observe fit, then the process begins. Artistry’s in-house installers have years of experience in the field and strive to install as accurately and quick as possible. Once initial installation is complete, expect a master finisher to come on site to correct any blemishes that might have occurred during the installation process. After the punch and all work has been completed on the site, expect our project managers, Christine Tedesco and Mark Westbrook Jones (See Bios), to be on site for a final walk through the jobsite with the client to ensure absolute client satisfaction… Now welcome home!
